A Collection of The Hippocratic Crush II Trailers and Teasers in the Lead-up to its Air Date

It is no secret that I loved The Hippocratic Crush (or maybe it is). That was one of my favourite dramas of 2012. I just loved it. It was is one of the best written drama coming from TVB in a very long time. In fact, since THC, there has been no dramas this year thus far that are anywhere near as well written and executed as THC. I don’t usually have high expectations for TVB sequels because TVB tends to ruin them one way or another but this is not the case for The Hippocratic Crush II. I am really anticipating it and holding my expectations high for various reasons. The obvious fact is that THCII retains its former cast and no one significant is killed off or removed from the drama. Furthermore, they aren’t thrown in with some new relationship line but rather they are allowed to enhance their current relationship. There are a number of new casts in THCII but I just hope that they do not take away the essence that made THC so wonderful to watch.

THC really made me fall in love with Kenneth Ma and Tavia Yeung as a couple. They have a ton of chemistry between them. I loved their respective portrayal as Cheung Yat Kin/Yat Kin Tau and Fan Chi Yu/Yu Jai because they enticed me, allowing me to really love them. They are very sweet with each other and you can just see how comfortable Kenneth and Tavia are with each other.

I can’t wait till THC debuts. I hope and pray that this sequel does not ruin the brilliance that was brought on by THC. If, in the worst case scenario that it does, at least I will get to see more of Yat Kin Tau and Yu Jai. (:

Check out these trailers in anticipation of THC! THC premieres on the 4th of November on TVB. TVB might have had a crappy run of dramas this year but I am certain that THC is one that is worth checking out.

Eek. I loved loved loved On Call, but after just reading the synopsis for THC2 i am disappointed and frankly seriously considering not watching it at all. I loved the doctor/ housemen setup, so making Tavia’s character give up on this career path is a big no from me. Secondly, although i loved On Call i feel that a sequel is unnecessary. The ends were tied up nicely in THC already. IMO, TVB has heaps of other dramas that desperately need a sequel rather than THC2. Also, i’m a little allergic to Tavia. And i wonder what it would have been like for Tavia and Him Law. Hmmmm. Lol.
Btw misscupcakes, how do you find Brother’s Keeper? For me, well….. I’m impressed. This is TVB’s first 2013 drama that has caught my attention. I just find it so errr, beautiful? I watched the first ep with a neutral to negative mindset. I was all “90s?! Oh no!”, “sad family story? Puh leeze!”. But right now i am hooked. And wth, how did i not notice how smokin hot Ruco was? I first laughed when i saw him without his signature glasses, but he’s got this really nice charisma that seriously lights up his angsty police role. I seriously never noticed this guy. Man am i blind, i knew his name saw him in dramas yet never noticed how he was actually a siu sang with so much talent (and such handsome features). Linda is not bad, but whenever i see Sam Sir and Rachel together, i grin like a maniac. Overall, Brother’s Keeper is like a gem to me. The name, the theme song, the characters, the relationships, the setting, *cough cough Ruco* are all so perfect and beautiful. Haha, such a long rant. Misscupcakes hope i don’t scare you. 😉

Hi! No, you didn’t scare me!

I thought that The Hippocratic Crush was tied up nicely. THC doesn’t need a sequel but TVB loves to rip off from their successes! Ahaha, even though it was tied up nicely, I do see a lot of room that could be expanded on. I am not a fan of all the characters that TVB has decided to added to the sequel, I can only hope that it does not tweak too much of what the original series was about.

Ahhh, yes! Brother’s Keeper is the one TVB drama that I am loving this year! I was a bit iffy about it at first but I soon found myself really enjoying it. LOL, yes, Ruco is what is driving the show! I am really enjoying his chemistry with Linda (:
