The 48th annual Golden Bell Awards were held yesterday, 26th of October, at the National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei. It was a very vivid event featuring a number of guest presenters and performers including Yoga Lin and Wan Fan. Falling lead the race with eight nominations and came home winning four trophies for Best Drama, Best Supporting Actress, Best Director and Best Screenwriter. An Innocent Mistake was not far behind with six nominations but only went home with one award. Vic Zhou finally wins the Best Actor award after failing to do so back at the the 2009 44th Awards to fellow co-star, Mark Chao in Black and White. Congrats to him! I have never seen him act before but I am certain that his praise and hype is not just show. Everyone loves him and are over the moon that he won. He dressed himself really well for the awards and was probably the best dressed male of the entire awards. He was well groomed and in a suit that fitted him perfectly.
Two Fathers was a drama which I loved; I thought the acting and writing was superb but it only got nominated in the Best Marketing Programme Award. Sadly, it lost out the award to An Innocent Mistake. Ironically, Leroy Young and Megan Lai were the guest presenters for this award.
There were some really interesting fashion on the carpet and surprisingly, most people dressed quite well, but not enough to make you surprised. The celebrities seemed to have followed the safe path in terms of fashion choices this year. Check out the fashion outfits below the nominations list! (:

Tia Li of Dream Girls in a striking red dress that fits her well but does not fit her complexion as well.
Sonia Sui has a striking figure and can pull off any almost anything. I am not a fan of this dress on her but she pulls it off well. I just think the purple design on the front makes the dress material appear less formal.
Selina Jen of S.H.E dressed in a beautiful but simple sapphire dress and bravely bare her scars.
The dress does not look good on Amber Kuo and it does not match her make-up. The dress makes her look older than her age as well as shorter than what she is. It would fit her better if her dress is a few centimetres shorter.
Fellow member of Dream Girls, Puff Guo looks really cute in this drama. I think it just accentuates her bubbly face.
Esther wears a very simple black dress. She could have lifted it by throwing on a dazzling necklace.
One of the three hosts, Amber An had on a dark green dress with with a skinless tattoo sleeve. I really like the dress and I think it is really pretty on her. I think the sheer skirt of the dress really allows her legs to be highlighted.
Megan wears one of the more daring dresses at the awards, opting for a butterfly print. It leans more on the casual side but she just somehow pulls it off making it fit of this event. Her wishy hair-do helps to soften up the dark colour of her dress.
Albee Huang has got herself covered in way too much bling.
Red can be quite a hard colour to pull off but Nikki Hsieh has chosen the right shade of red and matched it with the right density of make-up. I am not a fan of her hair-updo though. Maybe she doesn’t need that “puff” in her hair…
Janel Tsai and James Wen walk the carpet together but Janel’s outfit isn’t doing any favours for her. The dress in too dark for her and has fold many folds in it and her eye make-up makes her look like she has dark circles. James on the other hand is very well fitted. He just needs to shorten his pants.
Look at this, Zai Zai has dressed himself well for the awards! The suit is perfectly fitting on him! It’s just that his pants is a bit too long for him.
Bolin Chen is probably the only guy with perfectly cut pants. But he is oh so very handsome though! Look at look he gives! Very captivating! I do prefer him with shorter hair though. He can keep that moustache and beard though.
Another handsome lad on the field! I am loving Kingone Wong‘s look. He is very nicely polished.
