My Opinion on In A Good Way Episode 15

Let me get my squealing out of the way first! *Squuuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!* Okay, now I can talk. Suffice to say, I adored this ep to bits and pieces. That’s a given considering how good the beauty that this drama has been offering. This ep was by far one of the most adorable eps to date with the OTP now officially dating. It was just raining with cuteness and I can promise you that next ep will be a tornado of cuteness! I smiled so much that my cheeks felt like they were going to fall off. I am even smiling like a crazy lunatic writing this post! I’m not sure how I will survive the upcoming eps if this is me now. But I’m all for more cuteness between Jia En and Liu Chuan! I just love the presence that they bring on-screen together. I mean, they were pretty damn awesome as Jia En and Liu Chuan respectively but now together as a couple, their awesomeness is flying off the scales! If anything, it is just going to continue to skyrocket, not that I have any problem with this. Just continue to shoot your fiery lasers and each other and I’ll be more than happy to spend one and a half hours watching this exchange. Actually, I wouldn’t mind spending hours on end just watching them do their thing.

I am totally adoring the cuteness that ChuanEn are giving off. It is very mesmerising watching them shoot their lasers at each other. It is just something very sweet to watch. Everything that they do just makes me squeal and go awww. Seriously, that was how the ep went for me. I cannot get enough of their flirting with each other. All that is on Jia En’s mind right now is her new boyfriend as is Jia En on Liu Chuan’s mind. They can’t get each other of out their minds and I can’t get them out of mines. The way they are flirting with each other can kill people. It is very strong and full of electricity. More will definitely be coming in future eps!

It’s no secret that everyone who is watching In A Good Way loves it for everything that it has to offer. Those who are not watching it are missing out big time. IAGW is so much more than a drama. It is a story told from the heart, which is why it is so special. It makes you want more and more each time and furthermore, it navigates you through its folds unlike a lot of dramas which, once they have lured you in, leave to wander through the maze yourself. By doing so, it allows you to really connect with the characters and this is really important. The way the drama has built all this up from scratch is extraordinary. Even as we are more than half way in, the drama is just as consistent as the way it started off as. I have no doubt that it will continue on this winning streak that it is.

IAGW so good is the fact that it has been able to remain consistent well into its airing and staying true to its roots. It never once diverged off its starting point and continues to help our characters grow, telling of the character’s uni experience. Despite being scripted, the realism IAGW embeds is just extraordinary. Everything is just in a nice balance with each other. The school pressure, club activities and romance all interlock with one another to help create a very humane lifestyle for the characters. There are dramas which are just purely dramas and then there are dramas which are a slice of life. The latter is one that it much harder to perfect compared to the former since it requires meticulous planning, scripting, acting and directing in order to create a mundane image that viewers can relate to, but IAGW has perfected this. It is a drama that is very genuine and ordinary but in so many ways not.

Oh Ren Wei, poor guy! It hurts me to see him to into the phase that Bai Xue was once in, though Bai Xue has clearly picked herself up and moved on. Ren Wei is a guy that you just can’t help but love. He is an all-round nice guy, willing to go to extreme measures for his friends’ sake. He even sacrificed two months worth of allowance to benefit the garage sale. What hurts more is that there is no second lead syndrome happening here which makes me pity Ren Wei for putting himself in that position. He said so himself, he didn’t cherish her when he had the opportunity to do so and now he can only stand and watch as she runs into someone else’s arms. She was always by his side but he had his eyes glued elsewhere and now she is the one who has her eyes glued elsewhere while he is sticking by her side. Whatever feelings that he has for her right now, he is definitely not going to snatch her away from her happiness. It might hurt her to see her disappear from his reach but he is not going to step in now and intrude on her relationship with Liu Chuan. If he does, he will risk losing the friendship that they have and that is definitely not something that he can risk losing. She is already disappearing away from him, he can’t have her gone from his sight as well. As much as I pity him, I do want to see him throw his feelings out there and really work out how he feelings and move on, because Ren Wei deserves a girl who loves him as equally as much. At this point in time, it doesn’t matter if the girl is Bai Xue or not, I just want to see him happy and full of energy again.

The phase that Bai Xue went through and the phase that Ren Wei is currently going through begs me to ask the question what if, what if Bai Xue and Ren Wei confessed earlier? Would it have grown to something more? Would it have broken their friendship? What if… what if…? There are all these questions that you can ask but in the end these are only hypothetical situations. There is no “what ifs” in the world of love. If you miss your chance then that will be something that you can never go back to. Bai Xue lost her chance with Liu Chuan just as Ren Wei lost his with Jia En. This just goes to show that these pairings were just not mean to be. Maybe, this is because they are meant for one another! I just hope that Bai Xue and Ren Wei will be able to find their happiness as well.

This drama is just filled with goodies with a tonne more to come now that our OTP are officially on the dating scale. I am excited for this Friday to come because I want to see more of them! Even if they just sit and stare at each other, I will be very happy to see that, because who can resist that?

Thanks for posting your opinion on this episode! Oh that squeal is not enough for me…lol. It’s already Wed but I’m still replaying this episode (I’m just on a break that’s why I’m checking blogposts…haha). I can’t seem to get over this ep. I’m still grinning on my favorite parts 😀 All the slow romancing between the OTP is something I don’t see in dramas nowadays that’s why I’m relishing every minute of it.

I agree that IAGW is more than a drama. It seems so sincere in showing the lives and development of all the characters. It makes me feel really good everytime I watch it. It now holds a special place in my heart so whatever happens from now on, I don’t think I’ll love it any less. I’m so lucky I found this gem!

It’s being live-filmed so the ep count isn’t for certain but its Wikipedia page has it set for 22 eps. Most SETTV live-filmed dramas are usually around 18-24 eps.

Oh sweetie, you are up to date! You can only wait and catch it one week at a time now.
