In A Good Way Episode 23 Written Preview

The cast for In A Good Way finished filming this week and news having been rolling in this entire week of the cast filming their last scenes one at a time. There was a lot of tears on sight and I am teary myself knowing that this drama is coming to a closure. I didn’t follow it from the start for I only hoped on board when it started gathering rave reviews but every week since I hoped on board, it has been quite painful to wait for the release of each ep. This drama resonates deeply with life which is why this drama touches base with us as the audience. It did not fall into clichéd storylines and neither was there a need for it to do it. It tells of heartfelt stories which is what connects with us and I guess this makes the drama that much more endearing to the heart. Even as an audience, I felt like I was a part of the drama and a part of the IAGW gang. That is something that I don’t think any other drama has ever done to me. I have followed this through and through, catching it week after week and reading every piece of news about it. Now that it is drawing to an end, my heart is just not ready to part with it yet. It’s been about half a year since it first started airing and so much has happened during that time in both the dramaland and the real world. I’ve witnessed the characters grow and watched them as they made decisions that shaped who they are. I’ve laughed alongside them. I’ve cried with them. I’ve felt my heart break for them. More importantly, they have made me smile happily. Dayum, I am going to miss this happy family bad when it all draws to a closure in three eps!

Everything about IAGW right now is each of the cast finishing their last scene one by one. In a mere short 6 months, they have forged some strong friendships, something that they will take away with them forever. But for now, they will have to close that book and begin on a new book. It’s been bitter sweet for the cast. While they have a new book to start reading, it is just hard for them to put this book down. Tears were plenty with everyone shedding tears as they bid farewell to one another.

Lego Lee was the first of the main cast to finish his shooting and the happy-chappy guy that he is was filled with a sense of glumness. This was the longest drama shoot for Lorene Ren and after she finished her final shot, she broke the news that she no longer has to be the interloper between Lego and Jay Shih. Even though Lego and Jay do not have a close friendship on-screen but they share a very close bromance off-screens. Jay said that it was the hardest for him to film his last shot but joke that this was probably the punishment for previously getting in between the lovebirds.

Oh my heart breaks! But you have to move on with life. The written previews hints at a misunderstanding between Liu Chuan and his father and I am hoping that they will resolve this. Liu Chuan’s dad loves him very much but he just shows it is a different way compared to other fathers. Whatever it is, resolving this misunderstanding will breach them closer. I’m looking forward to this and I can’t wait to watch this story unfold.

Written Preview:

Liu Chuan and Jia En embark on the road of returning the treasures. The blank spaces in the book are filling up one by one with dates. The two find the Li Lai who sells mochi.

It seems that they are reaching the end point of their destination. An ineffective ancient old lease arrives too late to repair the ten-so years of regret. Li Lai does not accept the land lease that belongs to him and it lies in Liu Chuan’s hands. However, Liu Chuan realises that the land lease was not in the picture of when his father donated the treasures to the Antiquities Society.

Every father uses a different method to show their love to their children. Jia En has always deeply believed but do not understand the knot between Liu Chuan and his father. This knot even stirs up a quarrel between them. In the end, Liu Chuan can only use the most excruciatingly painful method to let Jia En see the father in his eyes…

Check out Smile Weng‘s promotion of the IAGW novel. She is such a cutie and an excellent second female lead!

Look on the bright side! We still have three more eps! Plus, there will be a movie coming out possibly by the end of this year.
