New Teasers and Posters for Fated to Love You Draws on the Fluffy Side

Image and video hosting by TinyPicMBC recently rolled out two new teasers and official posters for the upcoming rom-com Fated to Love You and it has really put on a big smile on my face and I really do hope that it will continue to do so! I am loving what I am seeing! I really hope that these are signs that drama will be great.

Image and video hosting by TinyPicThe official posters are so adorably cute! MBC released three official posters and they all have their charm one way or another. Of the three posters, my favourite would have to be the first one showing all four leads together and their correlation with one another. The second one shows Jang Nara dressed in a maid’s outfit climbing up a rope to reach her prince charming Jang Hyuk. I am a tad confused with this poster. I’m not sure what it wants to portray but it definitely is light, fluffy and appeasing to the eye. The last poster has the most realistic representation of the drama with JH pointing to JN’s pregnant stomach which he knocked up and JN smiling ever so happily. I really like this one as it seems to scream out the chemistry that they have. I’m just not sure about JH’s hair. It’s annoying but somehow just works! Though, I do hope that through the course of the drama he will undergo some hair transformations!

The two teasers finally shed some light to what the drama will be about, not that it needed to since half of us out there have already seen the original. However, what it really managed to show was the impeccable chemistry between the leads. It was only a few seconds of glimpse into premise of the drama but already the leads are showcasing their chemistry! I am really excited for the airing and I cannot believe that it will be here very soon, this Wednesday to be precise.

So far, the K-remake seems to be sticking by the original with some alterations to the cruise ship which lead the leads Ethan Ruan and Chen Qiao En in the original TW version to a one-night-stand (plus baby). Instead of meeting on a cruise, JH and JN will have their meeting in a Macau casino hotel and the same fate will happen to them which will lead to their relationship happening in the reverse order. I guess this also works since the original did feature some gambling. The teasers also showcase the second leads Choi Jin Hyuk and Wang Ji Won who are both channelling their characters.

The two teasers really ramps up on the comedic gag of the rom-com which was what really helped to shape the original together. I love the cheery and bubbly atmosphere that the drama seems to be embarking on. However, I am a bit concerned having seen comments on the internet of netizens describing the original as leaning on the melodramatic side. I certainly would not describe it as that. Sure, it did have some melodramatic parts but as a whole, that worked to push the drama forth back on its feet to bring the OTP together. FTLY is a rom-com as a entirety with lots of fluff, something that this remake will definitely not be short of offering.

Check out the two teasers below. I had trouble finding a YouTube video of the second teaser and I’m not sure how to embedded videos that aren’t from YouTube, lol. So instead I managed to find a video that was a mix of the second and third teaser.

Teaser 3:

MBC released a number of stills since my last post which is once again following along the theme of the drama being filled with adorableness. Check out some of them below. (:

I didn’t care for his hair at first, but somewhere along the way I started feeling differently about it. I think that’s because it appears to mesh well with his character portrayal. I’m still open to a mid drama makeover though. Those are always fun 🙂 Either way, I’m cool with it.

Yup, same here. I guess I could get used to it but I would like to see him with a makeover, hehe.
