Joe Cheng and Jiro Wang’s Drama Singles Villa Creeps Up and Premieres Tomorrow

Singles VillaSometimes dramas just creep up on you and that is exactly the case for Singles Villa. It was just a few months ago when I heard of casting and filming for Singles Villa and now it is ready to premiere tomorrow on Hunan Television. That’s actually a pretty fast time frame for Chinese dramas which usually don’t get an air-date until well after filming and post-production. Singles Villa is about a group of residents living together in rich condominium where falling in love with one another is strictly forbidden but of course they all go and break this rule because rules are meant to be broken.

Singles VillaSingles Villa stars Joe Cheng and Jiro Wang as the leads and this will be their third collaboration after It Started With a Kiss and They Kiss Again which was over eight years ago. Woah, time flies! Alongside them, their leading ladies are Xu Lu and Viann Zhang. Joe and Jiro will both fall for Xu Lu’s character and I remember reading a post where Joe jokes that he always wins the girl when he and Jiro both fall for the same person, citing reference to ISWAK and TKA. Haha. But Jiro will definitely put up a fight even if he might not win.

Anyway, check out the trailer and theme song sung by Jiro before the drama hits our screens tomorrow.

Dammit. I used to love Jiro… But what happened to his voice and well his face. The song sounds so out of tune and partially unsuitable for his voice anyway. And i have to admit, his face feels different. Sigh. But i will definitely check this out. Omg Jiro.

Ahahaha, yeahhh, I’m not a big fan of the song either. Jiro, Jiro, Jiro. 😛 hopefully his acting here proves better than the song!!

Yup, so true! I loved him when he first started out in It Started With A Kiss and in his previous drama Drama Go Go Go.

I just finished watching episode 1 and it was so meh. I feel like they must’ve rushed the production to get it out the door 🙁 Maybe it will get better once all the characters are under one roof?

Ahaha, maybe! It did have a very fast turnaround from pre-production to airing.
