Rain and Tiffany Tang Headline Diamond Lover

1Tiffany Tang took over Chinese television back in January and February with her three back-to-back dramas My SunshineLady and the Liar and Legend of Fragrance which were all ratings hit, cementing Tiffany’s status as one of China’s most sought-after television leading lady. You’d think that after those juggernaut hits of hers she would be off the radar for a while but she is back sooner than you can even get her to sit down. Her leading men have all been quite the superstar themselves but this time she is crossing the strait to Korea, or rather, her leading man is crossing the strait from Korea to China. Tiffany goes for her big names because her leading man is none other than Rain. This is the second time the two are working together with them having previously worked together with him in the movie For Love or Money. Rain has been based in China since My Lovely Girl, which was a stinker of a drama that dipped low in ratings and wasn’t well-received.  Read more

Tiffany Tang’s Other Other Drama Co-Starring Li Yi Feng Legend of Fragrance Airs Tomorrow Competing Against Her Other Drama Lady & Liar

Legend of FragranceI can assure you that you will not be short of Tiffany Tang this month with hit drama after hit drama airing one after the other. Her drama My Sunshine only just finished airing last week and it was a hit both online and offline, generating a mountain of discussion. I haven’t even gotten over My Sunshine yet but immediately after My Sunshine concluded, her other drama, Lady & Liar, which has been highly anticipated for well over one and a half years, starring her best friend Yang Mi‘s hubby Hawick Lau took over the position of My Sunshine and is my current drama jam. It is reaping in the ratings, though remains unbeaten by The Empress of China. Tomorrow though, another one of Tiffany’s drama, Legend of Fragrance starring hottie Li Yi Feng, jumps in the competition which is literally Tiffany competing against herself for the ratings since it will be replacing TEOC. My Sunshine Releases Long Preview Ahead of Premiere

MSGu Man‘s popular internet novel Silent Separation (何以笙箫默) is finally arriving on-screens as My Sunshine after the successful novel-to-drama adapation of Come Eat, Shan Shan (杉杉來吃) into Boss & Me. My Sunshine premieres in just a few days on the 10th of January and I am hoping that it will capture the novel as nicely as Boss & Me did. My Sunshine is not as fluffy as Boss & Me but there is still lots of fluff about it but that comes with some angst to give the story a kick. My Sunshine released its 15 minute long preview earlier this week and I am quite liking what I am seeing except for maybe a few bits here and there with the leads Wallace Chung and Tiffany Tang having all the necessary chemistry. It’s not sizzling hot but it is there and will hopefully heat up as the drama progresses. Read more

My Sunshine Releases Cute Promo Materials Offering a Boss & Me Vibe

My SunshineLooks like I will be heading over to China for my dramas in 2015! So far I have two Chinese dramas that I really really really want to watch and they both so happen to star Tiffany Tang. Her first drama for 2015 will be My Sunshine (title recently changed from You Are My Sunshine) which is adapted from the popular online novel Silent Separation (何以笙簫默) by Gu Man whose other novel Come and Eat, Shan Shan (杉杉来吃) also got adapted into the successful drama Boss & Me. I’ve been saying that I would go and read Come and Eat, Shan Shan but I have been too busy for it. With all these dramas that I want to see in 2015, I really don’t have the time just yet. I guess I’ll stick with dramaing for now. 😛 Tiffany will be playing a romantic couple with Wallace Chung here. Read more

Continent is Off to a Rocketing Start

Continent There’s a new movie on the block and it is on its way to knocking off its fellow competitors. It only premiered two nights ago in China on Thursday and on Thursday alone it grossed RMB 74.0 million which enough for it to knock Tiny Times 3.0 off its reign as king. It was only today that I heard about the release of Continent and I can’t believe that I didn’t hear about it sooner considering that it does star some big names both on-screens and off-screens. Directed and penned by multi-talented director, professional rally driver, screenwriter, blogger, author, singer and entrepreneur Han Han, Continent is a tale about three men from an East China island going on a road trip across the continent (hence the name, ahaha) while fulfilling some of their personal goals along the way. On the way they encounter a variety of people and they create numerous memories together but little did they that this journey would have completely changed the trajectory of their lives. Continent takes on a nostalgic path and really grips emotions through its intricate telling of friendship, affection and challenges that connects these three men together. Read more

Long Awaited Sequel to the Hit Drama Bu Bu Jing Xin Finally Confirms Air Date

Hot hot hot out of the oven (actually, not so hot since a lot of other bloggers found out about this waaaay before I did, but it’s hot out of the oven for me!) but Bu Bu Jing Qing, the long anticipated sequel to the C-drama that blew everyone away back in 2011, Bu Bu Jing Xin (which was a adapted from the same name novel by acclaimed author Tong Hua) finally gets a confirmation of an air date. It seems like forever for it to finally lock down that piece of information down. News was floating around back in 2011 that a sequel was going to come and it did get confirmed but filming didn’t start until March last year since they had trouble with negotiating for the original cast members to return. Filming finished in July last year but despite all the teasers and trailers that have been coming out, no air date has been confirmed until today. For all those fans why have been waiting since forever, you will finally be able to lay your eyes on it on 22nd April on Jiang Su TelevisionRead more
