I thought and desperately hoped that Ji Qing discovering the truth would change things for the better but instead on the contrary it is flopping more than ever before. There is just something that is just not quite right with this drama, especially the storyline. It doesn’t know where it wants to go and with all these characters who are given a prominent storyline, it just has too many directions where it wants to stretch itself to. As far as development goes, it is all over the place and there isn’t really much of it in terms for growth for the characters because frankly, they are quite one dimensional.
I think the Taiwanese audience agree that this drama is not enjoyable to watch because ratings have been flopping, having only broken 0.5 with the first two eps and falling thereafter.
I want to love this drama but no matter how hard I try I just can’t. It doesn’t captivate me or lures me to want to watch it. I will continue to watch it since I started it and would like to finish. However, I am going to do something that I have never done on this blog before and that is drop this recap. It pains me to do so because I have never dropped a recap before but I am going to have to because I just can’t find myself deviating even attention to recapping this, though I would happily continue to do so if there are readers interested (: Read more
While one couple is having their hearts broken but each other, another couple is well on their way to a loving relationship. Hao Ming needs to stop and think on behalf on other people not think for them. He needs to realise that Ji Qing loves him and for every month that she can spend with him it is a privilege.
I can’t stand to watch where Hao Ming and Ji Qing’s relationship is heading at this stage. Sheng Hua and Yi Ren’s relationship is much more interesting to watch. Read more
This ep is just sad, because of the current situation that the OTP has found themselves in. They clearly love each other dearly but that one cancerous situation is what draws them apart. Their heart longs for each other and I am afraid that they both might break if they do not get together soon. They both yearn for each other yet they have a distance with each other. Not only that but this ep is sad that nothing really develops and so all that there is is sadness from the OTP. Read more
I am not going to fume again how this drama does not know where it wants to head because this is going to be how it is throughout its entire run. With the unsuccessful marriage, it is the turning point of their relationship as well as the drama itself. Yet things are still going haywire and after seeing the preview for the next ep, this ep is really lost in comparison.
Hao Ming and Ji Qing’s relationship is going down the usual cycle, as this drama follows the same plot. However, this drama is putting in perks here and there to differentiate their relationship from the usual plot which instead makes this drama not sure of where it wants to head.
I was curious to see where this ep would take this but then again I wasn’t so curious as everything was so predictable as well as being quite messy. Nonetheless, this turning point ep did not actually leave a turning impression but rather a messy and rough future. It was slow going and quite repetitive. Read more
Please, please, please, do not go here. Of course, dramas never listen to my opinions and chooses to head exactly where I did not want it to. If I could re-write the script I would scrap Shan Shan (though I do like her character) because her plot is not working with the storyline at all and then I would create obstacles towards Ji Qing and Hao Ming’s path to marriage. Plain and simple is what works best. This drama has taken this idea on board but the wrong way but adding storylines here and there as well characters here and there who are either irrelevant to the plot or are swaying the plot elsewhere. Arrrghhhhh! I just knew that when marriage was approaching this quickly something like this would happen.
Again, I don’t really like this ep but in comparison to the previous ep you could say I love this ep because something actually happens. I don’t know whether I enjoy the characters any more; they don’t have any excitement, and yes I do like Shan Shan but even she is lacking excitement. I don’t know whether to blame the storyline of the characters themselves (honestly, the actors are doing a descent job portraying their role) but somehow everything seems so gloom and stuck in a hole, because you know, Shan Shan is a creep trying to get revenge, Ji Qing is a woman who has found her love, Hao Ming is a man who will do anything for Ji Qing and Yi Ren and Sheng Hua are having a stable relationship. I just can’t quite get what is it that is not tying this drama together; it is something and I know it is out there. Read more
Disappointment continues to linger here, and the more that I watch of this, the more that I am disappointed with the storyline. Not only does it feels like it is stretched in numerous directions but like I have mentioned numerous times before, the stories lack something to bring it all together. It is also because of the development of the storyline that hinders the development of our characters and the relationship that they have with each other.
As of now, this drama does not know where it wants to head as a whole body. The individual stories are heading down their own path but it is because of the numerous stories all fighting for the dominant position that leaves this drama questioning where exactly does it want to take the story to. Is it Ji Qing, Yi Ren or Shan Shan who is dominant here? Read more
Whilst watching this, it becomes more distinct that things are not gluing together. It just goes from one scene to another. I think the only things that I am loving about this drama is the character of Shan Shan, Yi Ren and Mummy Wang’s relationship and Hao Ming and Ji Qing’s progressive relationship.
Mummy Wang asks Yi Ren if she is not afraid that she will tell her to continue things with Da Shuai. Yi Ren tells her that she knows that she loves her so if she says that, then she must feel that is better for Yi Ren. Mummy Wang tells Yi Ren her opinion while Da Shuai listens in. She tells her that Sheng Hua is a good man and if she is her daughter, she would advise her to choose him. Sheng Hua will love her and Duo Duo very much but if she chooses Da Shuai, she will lead a very difficult life. She tells her to go live her life the way she wants. Mummy Wang then asks her if she likes Sheng Hua. Yi Ren replies that she feels that he is cute which translates to her liking him. As long as she is happy that is all that matters. Read more
As much as I want to fall in love with this drama, there is something that just constantly get on my nerves and that is unsynchronisation (yeahh, I’m making up words) which this ep is another prime example of, clearly evident falling from the back of ep 3. This drama could do so much better but the hugest downfall of this drama is it being really choppy and the storyline falling out of place. I wanted this drama to do well but sadly that it is not what it is so good at. Ep 1 and 2 were quite well in terms of its synchronisation but recently, these past two eps just had a dramatic downfall which I am going to partially blame the storyline.
With the storyline it is the inconsistent direction that it wants to follow. If only the direction was clear-cut everything else would flow on much more smoothly than what it is doing now. It is Shan Shan who is the main drive of the rough storyline. Her character is really complex and there is still so much more to be revealed about her that is yet to be know which makes her character lack a distinct path that she wants to take.
If Ji Qing and Hao Ming’s marriage is going to drag through the entire drama the way it is, I am going to give each ep a full rage! Their relationship has to head through a big hurdle and a large puddle to give it a push and create something that it is much more interesting than what it currently is. Then I won’t rage. Ahahahas! There is something really different with this ep when compared to the previous eps. The scenes transitions were very plain and simply bad. It was just so distinct that the transitions were unsynchronised and the scenes were placed all over the place that it made no sense when one scene transitioned to another. Other than the unsynchronised scenes, the interactions between Hao Ming and Ji Qing who had their first solid argument which really allows them to further grow as a couple.
Previously I though Shan Shan was creepy but now we finally get to know the real reason behind her creepy-ness, or at least that is what it appears to be. I love the character of Shan Shan; it is really cleverly written. Something just evolves with her through each and every ep. The more that I watch of Shan Shan, the more that I am more curious to see how much more her character holds.
Shan Shan is taken to the hospital for emergency treatment while Ji Qing and Hao Ming have a talk. She apologises for being immature and he assures her that everything will be fine. They at Shan Shan’s ID card to discover that she lives at the nursing home. He tells her to call Ai Wen if she has any questions that she can’t solve before leaving to find Shan Shan’s family.
